SYSTEM SETUP

Chapter 2.0 – Lab Setup – Must be completed first.

Option 1 – Use your Kali Linux VM and run darksetup.sh script

Option 2 – Use the Darkarts Kali VM

Option 3 – Cloud based AWS or Digital Ocean

Option 4 – Online bWapp only

Option 1:

• Download and install Kali Linux 2022.1 – https://www.kali.org/get-kali/ or
• Download and install ParrotOS – https://www.parrotsec.org/download/
• On the Darkarts.io website located/download the darksetup.sh script
• Execute the script –  ./darksetup.sh
• Execute the management script – ./darkarts.sh

Option 2:

• Download the Darkarts image from the darkarts.io website (unavailable)
• Locate and Import into VMWare Workstation Pro
• Start up machine and select “I copied it”
• Login to the machine, user:root / pwd: t00r2022

Option 3:

• Connect to the service of your choice, login and access cloud based workstations
  • Make sure the cloud service you choose has Kali or a debain instance as noted

Option 4:

• Online Option for bWAPP only: http://101.42.252.4/bwapp/bWAPP/login.php
